Beyond the Quad is a new initiative, bringing together various departments from across campus to create a comprehensive calendar of events and programs dedicated to student success while we remain virtual this fall. We will focus on four main areas of the student experience: Academic, Student and Community Engagement, Professional & Career Development, and Wellness. Each week, Menlo will host at least one event or program in each of those respective areas.

  • Join in on a trading game competition, organized by Menlo College professors Manish Tewari and Dima Leshchinskii, as well as the Investment Club. Click here for more information on how to sign up and be sure to attend the weekly workshops, held on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8 - 10:30 PM (PST) on Zoom.

Be sure to follow the @menlostudentlife Instagram account for more details on upcoming events and give us feedback on what you would like to see in the future!

What will these events look like?

These could be virtual events on Zoom such as a speaker or conversation hour, but they might also be in the form of a social media challenge or even an in-person *socially distanced* event. They might be hosted by a department on campus, by Student Government Association, or a student club.

Where can I find the calendar of these events?

Students can go to the “All Campus Events” calendar in Google to get all the event details and information on how to sign up or register if need be. Students and other interested Menlo Community members can download and utilize the Menlo app for event details.

Who are these events for?

Everyone! Some of these events are audience specific, but many are open to prospective students, current students, recent alumni, all alumni, staff, faculty and other members of the Menlo Community. Events will be coded with the recommended audiences as follows:

PS- Prospective Students
CS – Current Students
RA- Recent Alumni
AA- All Alumni
AC- All Menlo Community Members

Current students, earn points for swag!

Each event you attend is worth points toward swag from the campus store or a gift card of your choice. Events are worth 10 points each and your first prize comes at 50 points. Attendees will need to be present for the entire duration of the event.
